You might want to pick unbias sources that tell the whole tales on things.
1. These are the same laws that exist in many countries. It’s called coerced sex when there is management & insincere.
2. Do you really know the history of the man? What else he’s done & that THIS is FINALLY what the police were able to catch him & prosecute him on.
He got 18 years, so clearly there were prior’s & reason to pursue to the full extent of the law. It’s not about being Arab, nor a suggestion on Arabs. It’s about an idiot who needed to be place away.

Well, no it isn’t, and truthfully he isn’t being convicted because he is an Arab- rather, he is a liar (the two words aren’t synonyms, btw).
While I’m against his condemn (edit: assuming none of Cher’s concerns are right), I do have to say that he is certainly in the incorrect for concealing something from the woman in order to have sex. I might not agree with her mind-set towards Arabs; though, it is still her right on who she sleeps with. So, at worst, he should get some kind of fine, and maybe a restraining order, but I don’t agree with his conviction.
Basically, Arab isn’t a criteria for rape. This case is just weird.
