Jews want to distance themselves from Jesus because of his followers, who believe that he was more than just a holy man. Most jews feel that the holy men are those whos lives were described in the Torah.

Who said that Jesus provided any miracles? There is NO evidence of any miracle works. Further, there is not one mention of miracles from Jesus until decades after his death….if he really did something miraculous, you would reckon one of the MANY people who saw any one of these things would have written it down.

I reckon that the Jews consider Jesus as an heretic. And besides, Jesus did not fulfill the requirements of the Messiah that their Torah stated. To claim that Jesus is your savior means that you are no Jew. I reckon that’s pretty much what they believe in…

Holy man? Depends on your definition of holy. He was a excellent man; he tried to be a excellent Jew; he tried to tell people that like and kindness was better than despise and unkindness. I appreciate him for that. I just wish his followers would be more like him. After being on R&S for some time, it occurs to me that most of the Christians here are not very excellent at representing their religion especially to Jews.
