It can’t be built because there’s a mosque on the site – the Dome of the Rock, one of the holiest places in Islam. If/when the mosque falls down, then they’ll try to secure the site to build a new temple. And doubtless start a war in the administer.

No…there are always rumors in the Islamic world that the Joos are preparing to ruin their religious-conquest marker that they wedged on the most holy site in Judaism so that we can rebuild our temple. Those fables are circulated mostly to keep Islamic paranoia and hatred of the Jews & Israel up; historically, they have been used by antisemitic Islamic leaders to instigate massacres of the Jews, such as the Jerusalem massacres in the 1920s.
It’s ironic, really–In all the time that Jews have had access to Islamic sites, we have treated those sites with the ultimate respect, even at a cost to ourselves. We let the Muslims have complete dominance over the Temple Mount, and they have small-tempered Islamic police officers patrol the area to make sure that no errant Jew should reckon to pray there, at the most holy place in his religion. Jewish sites in Muslim hands turned into lantrines and horse stables. Anyhow, if there is anything that Christians, Hindus, Jews, Sikhs, and Bahais can all agree on…it is that Muslims accusing others of plotting to desecrate a holy site is pretty rich. People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.
