Aftеr thе spread οf Roman rule, thе Judea wаѕ under client kings аnd procurators until thе Jewish War аnd thе destruction οf thе temple іn 70 CE. Revolt wаѕ οnlу one Jewish response tο foreign rule; another wаѕ apocalypticism, аѕ wе see іn Daniel аnd аlѕο іn thе Jesus’ teaching аnd thе early Christian movement.
