I am a Christian and so glad the Lord led me to the Messianic Teaching. To be educated the New Covenant (and the ancient) by a Jew is wonderful! The lights are appearance on all over the place for me! Every time I hear a teaching, I’m saying “Oh! THATS what that means or THATS why they did that!” To know God’s word is such a blessing. Be grateful you.

@coolguy291m – the name of the song is “Yeshua Is He”, performed by the Messianic music group “Nagila”. The song is cut 2 on their CD “Valley Of Vision”. Express permission from the artist was given to use this song under our opening banner.

No, we do not celebrate those observances. Though, we do recognize the birth and death events of Yeshua the Messiah at their appropriate times. We celebrate His birth during Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) in the fall and His death during Pesach (Passover).

    S’michah is the act …
S’michah is the act of two or more rabbis laying their hands on another to grant them authority to act.

There is no hard proof that Yeshua learned from Yochanan. Though, anecdotal evidence and some of the things Yeshua said point to the possibility. It’s not something I’d stake my reputation on.

What is “s’michach”? Could you point me to some evidence that Yochanan HaMatbil educated him? This is fascinating!

  11. AYZTyler says:

    The fact that …
The fact that Yeshua is repeatedly referred to as “Rabbi”, even by the Torah Teachers, suggests that He did end His schooling and received “s’michah”.

There is some evidence that, at least for some period, Yochanan HaMatbil (John the Immerser), His cousin, educated Him.

Wonderful! Do you believe Yeshua went through those 3 schools? How do you reckon Yeshua spent his time before age 30?

G-d bless you brother…I be grateful the G-d of Yisrael that He drew to Himself by His grace alone! People have had it all incorrect for a looong time! The people of Yisrael did not kill Messiah…

It was our sins that nailed Him to the cross…It was our sins that crucified Him- Jew and Gentile alike, not the people of Yisrael! Shalom

Yes, I am attentive of …
Yes, I am attentive of the controversy, even surrounded by the Messianic community. Again, we do so to particularly spot the Right God, whom we serve, the God of Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya’akov.

I find it fascinating that no other religion has a problem using the name of their god. They use those names freely and we know whom they serve. But, the only people who worship the One Right God cannot spot Him to the rest of the world? I don’t get it!

    Shalom Rabbi,
    You …

    Shalom Rabbi,
You are right when you say scripture does not prevent anyone from mentioning The Name. But, I estimate it’s not honest to discard it as just a man made rule. After all, US Constitution states we have the right to bear arms, yet some states (Kansas?) completely bans gun possession. In other words, in the practice, we don’t follow the written law, but rather what our community leaders make out of it. I estimate among Jewish people those leaders were the Rabbis. Sorry for my English. Shalom

  25. AYZTyler says:

    We are very attentive …
We are very attentive of the refusal to use the pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton by the rabbinic community. We are also attentive of why. Though, this is a man-made tradition. The Scripture does not prohibit the pronunciation of the Name. It merely warns to not use it inappropriately.

In a world where every god is referred to as ‘God’, we point out to spot whom we serve by His Name. All other names or titles could refer to another god.
